You ever have one of those ideas that just won’t leave you alone?

It sits there… quietly at first… then louder… then suddenly it’s tapping you on the shoulder every time you hear a certain song, every time you scroll past a track you forgot existed, every time your brain goes, “Wait a minute… that one… THAT one right there…”

Yeah. This show is that idea.

The Deep Cuts show has been bouncing around in my head for a while now. Not just a passing thought, not just a “hey that might be cool someday” kind of thing—but one of those concepts that keeps building on itself. Every time I listened to music, every time I dug through playlists, every time I went down one of those late-night rabbit holes we all know too well… it kept growing.

Because here’s the thing about deep cuts…

They’re where the real stories live.

The hits? Yeah, we all love them. They’re familiar, they’re powerful, they connect us instantly. But the deep cuts… those are the songs that didn’t get overplayed. The ones that slipped just under the surface. The ones that fans remember, that artists poured just as much heart into—sometimes more—and yet they didn’t get their moment in the spotlight.

And that’s where the work came in.

This wasn’t just throwing a few lesser-known songs into a playlist and calling it a day. Oh no. This one took time. Real time. Digging through albums. Revisiting bands you thought you knew inside and out. Asking questions like:

That’s when you know you’re onto something.

Piece by piece, track by track, this thing came together. Not rushed. Not forced. Just… built. Carefully. Intentionally. The way a journey should be.

And I’ll tell you something honestly…

Getting these songs out of my head and into an actual set? That felt GOOD.

Because that’s what this show is. It’s not just a playlist. It’s not just music playing in the background. It’s a journey through the cracks in the mainstream. A reminder of what’s been sitting there all along, waiting to be rediscovered.
