DJ Jedi has never believed music was meant to stay inside neat little boxes.

Rock. Alternative. Metal. New Wave. Funk. Soul. Electronic. Darkwave. Disco. Progressive House. Forgotten album tracks, strange covers, songs you haven't heard in thirty years, and the occasional record that makes you stop and ask, “Where the hell did she find this?”

That's exactly the point.

​

A lifelong music lover and creator behind Jedi Council Radio, DJ Jedi approaches radio the way she approaches a great record collection: with curiosity, enthusiasm, and absolutely no respect for genre boundaries.

​

Her flagship show, Off the Beaten Track, airs Tuesdays at 6 PM Eastern and is built around one simple philosophy—good music is good music. Every show is a journey through favorites, discoveries, deep cuts, forgotten gems, unexpected detours, and listener requests. No genre is automatically off limits, and predicting what might come out of the speakers next is half the fun.

Music has been part of DJ Jedi's life for as long as she can remember. Growing up during an extraordinary era for radio and record collecting, she developed an appreciation not only for the songs everybody knew, but for the tracks hiding deeper on the albums—the songs DJs didn't always play and listeners sometimes discovered entirely by accident.

Those are often the songs that stay with you.

​

That love of discovery eventually became the heart of Off the Beaten Track.

​

DJ Jedi is also the creator and operator of Jedi Council Radio, an independent, commercial-free internet station built around the idea that radio should still feel unpredictable. The station runs 24/7 whenever the technology—and the occasional interference from the infamous Silence Syndicate—cooperates. The library plays on shuffle, meaning you might hear classic rock followed by trip-hop, New Wave followed by blues, metal followed by electronic music, or something completely unexpected.

And that's exactly how DJ Jedi likes it.

​

Beyond live radio, she continues developing specialty programs, deep-cut shows, music documentaries, playlists, original music projects, video content, and other creative experiments centered around the thing that started all of this in the first place:

the joy of hearing something great come through the speakers.

DJ Jedi isn't interested in algorithms deciding what everybody should hear.

She'd rather dig through the crates.

​
