Calibrating the Hyperdrive (and the Playlist)

Hey there, my friends and fellow travelers of the soundwaves,

I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about what’s been happening behind the scenes at Jedi Council Radio — because while the shows may sound smooth and effortless, there’s a whole lot of star charting going on before we ever hit that launch button.

First things first: Off the Beaten Track: Tuesday Edition is still my pride and joy. Every Tuesday night we set coordinates for two hours of music without walls. No strict genres. No predictable paths. Just great songs, deep cuts, forgotten gems, and the occasional “how did that even end up here?” moment. That’s the fun of it. That’s the mission.

Now, full transparency from your friendly neighborhood Jedi — the shows have been incredibly fun for me lately. Truly. I’m digging deeper into themes, transitions, flow, storytelling… and that means prep time has increased. A lot. I build these sets like they’re blueprints for a starship. I obsess over track placement. I test transitions. I rethink them. Then I rethink them again.

Sometimes the Jedi gets a little tired.

Creative energy is amazing, but it’s also fuel-burning work. And on top of prepping the show, I’m also trying to create more content, expand the station’s reach, and grow this whole thing into something bigger than just a weekly broadcast. That means videos. Clips. Posts. Ideas. Experiments. All the nerdy, musical, creative stuff I absolutely love — but yes, occasionally I need to power down the brain and play a game or stare at the wall like a philosophical space wizard.

Speaking of schedules — this coming week’s show will start slightly later than usual. Instead of our normal 6:00pm Eastern launch, we’ll be firing up around 6:15–6:30pm Eastern. Just a minor hyperdrive calibration. After that, we’ll be right back on track.

Requests are welcome — always. If you’ve got a song that needs to travel through hyperspace, get it to me however you can. Social media, comments, carrier pigeon… and if all else fails: dj.jedi828@gmail.com

I’ve also been expanding the galaxy a bit. If you want more DJ Jedi content beyond Tuesday nights, you can find me on:

There’s more coming. More ideas. More fun. More strange little creative detours. I’m working on ways to bring music to you that feel fresh and entertaining, because at the end of the day that’s what this is all about — connection through sound.

Jedi Council Radio doesn’t exist without listeners. It doesn’t exist without people tuning in, sharing, supporting, spreading the word. Word of mouth matters. Engagement matters. You matter.

So whether you’ve been listening from the beginning or just recently stumbled into this corner of the galaxy — thank you. Truly.

We’ll keep charting weird paths. We’ll keep finding great songs. We’ll keep building something special here.

And we’ll keep having fun doing it.
