Off the Beaten Track Tonight — Plus What’s Coming Next on Jedi Council Radio

Hey there, my Padawans,

Tonight at 6 PM Eastern, I’ll be back behind the decks for another edition of Off the Beaten Track on Jedi Council Radio.

This show has really become one of my favorite things to put together. There is something special about digging past the obvious songs, wandering around in the deeper cuts, and finding those tracks that still have plenty of magic left in them. Sometimes it is nostalgia. Sometimes it is a song you forgot you loved. Sometimes it is something strange, unexpected, or sitting just outside the usual playlist galaxy.

That is really the spirit of Off the Beaten Track.

It is not about following the algorithm. It is not about playing the same songs everyone else is playing all the time. It is about taking the scenic route through music and seeing where the signal leads.

And honestly, I have been really enjoying making these deep cuts shows. So yes, you can probably expect more of them in the future. There are just too many great songs out there that deserve another spin.

I also have some bigger specialty shows planned that I am very excited about.

One of those is The 27 Club show. That one is going to be more of a carefully built musical journey, focused on the artists, the influence, the songs, and the legacy. I do not want it to be just about tragedy. I want it to be about the music that still echoes long after the final note.

Another one I have been thinking about is an Eddie Van Halen show. That one feels almost necessary. Eddie changed the way people thought about guitar. He did not just play the instrument; he practically rewired it. A show celebrating his work, his influence, and that unmistakable Van Halen energy would be a blast to put together.

And knowing me, there will probably be even more themed shows, more deep cuts, more musical rabbit holes, and more nights where we just see where the music wants to take us.

That is part of the fun.

Of course, all of this lives on Jedi Council Radio, which is running 24/7 as long as I have internet and the broadcasting program has not been interrupted by technical nonsense, gremlins, Sith interference, or other extenuating circumstances. Sometimes things happen. Computers rebel. Connections drop. The Sound Syndicate gets ideas. But the mission remains the same: keep the tunes flowing.

The station is always on when everything is behaving, and there are no ads at all.

None.

No commercials. No corporate interruptions. No sudden attempt to sell you insurance, fast food, or a mattress in the middle of a perfectly good song.

Just music.

I also have some of my own stuff on the station as well, mixed in with everything else. Since the station runs on shuffle, you never really know what you are going to hear. It might be rock. It might be pop. It might be something nostalgic. It might be something weird. It might be something I made. It might be the perfect song at the perfect moment.

That is why you should tune in.
