Off the Beaten Track Tonight at 6 PM Eastern — The Playlist Has Officially Gone Rogue

Hey there, my Padawans!

Tonight at 6 PM Eastern, we are heading once again Off the Beaten Track on Jedi Council Radio, and this one is shaping up to be a wonderfully strange little journey through the musical side roads, back alleys, forgotten highways, and neon-lit exits that most playlists are too afraid to take.

This is not one of those neat, tidy, algorithm-approved shows where everything stays in its assigned little box. Oh no. That is not how we do things around here.

Tonight’s show is going to wander through classic rock, 80s atmosphere, 90s alternative, deep cuts, familiar favorites, and a few musical left turns that may cause the GPS to throw up its tiny digital hands and say, “You know what? You’re on your own.”

And honestly? That is exactly where Off the Beaten Track lives.

We’ll be starting out with that kind of cosmic, left-of-the-dial energy that feels like tuning into a mysterious radio signal somewhere between memory and static. From there, we’ll move through some 80s flavor, some darker atmospheric turns, some alternative rock goodness, and then — after Alice in Chains — we are changing things up.

Instead of drifting into the shadows and staying there, we’re going to kick the doors open and take the show into a rock, funk, and alternative stretch with a little more fire in the engine. Expect songs that groove, songs that bite, songs that swagger, and songs that remind you why digging beyond the obvious hits is so much fun in the first place.

That is one of the things I love most about doing this show. Off the Beaten Track lets me play the songs that do not always get the spotlight, but absolutely deserve to be heard. Sometimes it is a deep cut from a band everybody knows. Sometimes it is a song you forgot existed until the first few notes hit and suddenly you are right back in another time. Sometimes it is something unexpected that somehow makes perfect sense once it is coming through the speakers.

That is the magic of it.

And of course, this is all happening on Jedi Council Radio, which is running 24/7 as long as the internet behaves itself, the broadcasting program keeps doing what it is supposed to do, and the occasional extenuating circumstance does not come wandering in like a raccoon with a wrench.

There are no ads. No corporate noise. No forced interruptions. Just music.

The station is always on shuffle, which means you never really know what you are going to hear. It might be classic rock. It might be alternative. It might be something from one of my shows. It might be one of my own creations. It might be something that makes you stop what you are doing and say, “Wait a minute, I have not heard this in years.”

That is the fun of it.

So whether you are tuning in for the live show tonight, checking out the station during the day, or just letting it play in the background while you work, relax, game, clean, create, overthink life, or stare dramatically out a window like you are in a music video, Jedi Council Radio is there for you.

So come hang out tonight. Bring your coffee, your headphones, your speakers, your questionable dance moves, your nostalgia, your curiosity, and maybe a snack. Snacks are important. The Force may be strong, but so is the need for snacks.

Tonight we go wandering.

Tonight we go digging.

Tonight we go Off the Beaten Track.

May the Music Be with You!
