Reflections from DJ Jedi aboard the SS Brontë
Well… that was a ride, wasn’t it?
Tuesday’s Off the Beaten Track broadcast felt like one of those nights where the stars line up, the engine hums just right, and the SS Brontë glides through hyperspace on pure rhythm alone. Today, as the cosmic dust settles and Echo-9 finishes recalibrating the coffee dispenser (again), I wanted to check in and share a few thoughts from the captain's chair.
The crowd energy was unreal. You all tuned in from every corner of the galaxy — Earth, Skull Island, Delray-Prime, and at least one mystery beacon that swears it was just “your neighbor Dave.” Whoever you were, Dave… thanks for the static burst of enthusiasm.
The blend hit exactly the vibe I hoped for A little classic rock grit, a shimmer of disco stardust, a spark of Dua-Gaga modern energy, and a few unexpected detours through the asteroid fields of deep-cut favorites. You rode that wave with me — and I felt it.
Behind the scenes?Echo-9 only malfunctioned twice (a record), Amp-7 danced so hard one of its servos overheated, and someone — not naming names — left the hyperspace stabilizer in “party mode.” No regrets.
Today, I’m floating in that gentle afterglow DJs know well. The music is still echoing, the adrenaline is wearing off, and the galaxy feels just a little softer around the edges. It’s the perfect day-after mix of gratitude + quiet cosmic drift.
Thank you for tuning in, vibing along, and making Tuesday feel like a solar flare of joy. Same time next week… new sounds, new stories, same starship.
Until then —Travel light, groove heavy, and stay off the beaten track.✨— DJ Jedi
