Today at 4pm Eastern, if you tune in that is, there will be much rock and roll and merriment. DJ Jedi just had a birthday a few days ago and is feeling nostalgic. I have started a game, too. This game is a name that tv show or movie and I will play a theme song. Now there are so many TV shows that give away the show name in some way or the show was just so popular that even if you didn't watch it, you know what it is. Those are what I call "Slap yourself, if you don't know this (or tell me where you are and I'll come slap you)". Those, obviously, are not worth any prizes. Now the prize worthy ones I will call "stumpers" and once I have settled on one, I will play it for the rest of the show. If it doesn't get guessed, it gets put back in the theme song vault for another time. I replay the Slap Yourself quite a bit. They are a nice warm up. I'm trying to update the TV shows as well. So far most are from my childhood through to around the 90s. Now these are mostly American but there is the occasional British show mixed in there. I have only given out 1 prize so far. I hope the game (and my show) become more popular as time goes on.
