Off the Beaten Track Is Live Tonight at 6 PM Eastern!

Greetings, my Padawans!

It is almost time to turn up the volume, leave the predictable playlists behind, and join me for another musical journey through the wonderfully unpredictable world of Off the Beaten Track!

The show begins tonight at 6 PM Eastern, and I hope you will tune in, spend some time with me, and enjoy everything I have lined up. I am putting together a show that is sure to be a hit, filled with great music, unexpected choices, familiar favorites, deeper cuts, and perhaps a few songs you have not heard in quite some time.

That is what Off the Beaten Track is all about.

This is not a show confined to one genre, one decade, one sound, or one corner of the musical universe. The playlist can travel almost anywhere. We might move from classic rock into alternative, take a detour through the 1980s or 1990s, discover a forgotten deep cut, dance for a while, slow things down, or suddenly land on a song that nobody expected—but everybody needed to hear.

No genre is automatically off limits.

Good music is good music, and sometimes the best radio moments happen when the next song takes us completely by surprise.

Off the Beaten Track is scheduled for every Tuesday at 6 PM Eastern whenever I am able to broadcast.

Life occasionally has other plans, technology sometimes decides to join the Silence Syndicate, and there may be circumstances beyond my control—but whenever I can be there, I will be there, doing my best to keep the music flowing and create a show worth tuning in for.

So please make Tuesday evenings part of your musical routine.

Settle into your favorite chair, put on your headphones, turn up your speakers, or let the show become the soundtrack to whatever you are doing. Whether you are relaxing after a long day, making dinner, working on something creative, chatting with friends, gaming, driving, or simply looking for something different to hear, you are always welcome on the frequency.

Requests Are Always Welcome

One of my favorite parts of doing a live show is hearing from the people who are listening.

Your requests help make every episode unique. They can send the show in a direction I never planned, remind someone of an old favorite, introduce the audience to something new, or create one of those wonderfully strange musical transitions that should not work—but somehow absolutely does.

Do not be afraid to request something unusual.

You do not have to choose the biggest hit from an artist. You can ask for the deep cut, the forgotten album track, the strange remix, the song connected to a special memory, or the tune you have simply been wanting to hear all day.

The people who regularly join me are an important part of the show, and new listeners are always invited to become tomorrow’s regulars.

A Place for Music Lovers

There are plenty of places where you can hear the same handful of familiar songs repeated over and over again.

Off the Beaten Track is meant to be different.

I want the show to feel like exploring a great record collection with a friend—pulling out albums, finding unexpected treasures, talking about the music, sharing memories, and letting one song lead naturally—or sometimes hilariously unnaturally—into the next.

Music has an incredible ability to connect us.

A song can bring back a place, a person, a feeling, a summer, a road trip, a concert, a friendship, or an entire chapter of our lives within seconds. It can comfort us when we are struggling, energize us when we are tired, make us laugh, help us cry, or remind us that somebody somewhere understands exactly what we are feeling.

That is the spirit I hope to bring to every broadcast.

Some shows may be built around a decade. Others may follow a theme, celebrate an artist, explore forgotten songs, or simply become a glorious hodgepodge of music that somehow finds its own path.

That is part of the fun.
